To the Weary and Broken-hearted

When we cannot see. When the road is dark and cold, even then we can trust our God. We may not understand the path or the season of life we find ourselves in but we can trust that He is still faithful to fulfill His promises. He is in control even in the midst of chaos. He is our stronghold when everything is falling apart. He is forever constant when everything is changing. He is safety when danger comes our way. He is our hope when all seems hopeless. He is our victory when the battle is raging. He is life no matter the death we’re facing. When physical arms are no longer holding us, He holds us even closer. When someone breaks our heart, He is the mender of every broken piece. When fear is screaming at us, He is the calming force that stops the storm and quiets the seas. Remember how far He brought us. Remember what He saved us from, where He found us. This same God is not going to leave us now. He is ever present and always true. His word already has the final say. We can dismiss the discouragement and the lies of the enemy. We know we belong to the King, we remind our soul to hope in Him again. We choose to forgive what is unforgivable. We choose to love the unlovable. After all, this is how God saved us. He died while we were yet sinners. We didn’t choose Him, He first chose us. Let His voice be the loudest voice you hear today. He is calling His church to rise up, rise up and stand in the mercy and grace of our Savior. We can lift our heavy hands to Heaven and worship through the pain. We can determine in our hearts to live by faith even when we cannot see. This is how we show the world who Jesus is; when we keep standing no matter what knocked us down. When we get up and continue to follow after Him. Oh that they might want what we have, this dying and sick world that so desperately needs to know His love. May we be His witness, reminding all that He is coming again. May He find us faithful on that unexpected day. This is our testimony, this is creating in us a beautiful sacrifice to our King. Sin has no dominion over us. Let us continue fighting the good fight and keep running the race He has before us. He loves you, He will never leave you, He will never forsake you. Keep going sweet friend.

// prayer //

Father, Thank You for being our constant friend. Thank You for redeeming us and pulling us out of the chords of death. Thank You for loving us, for never leaving our side. Thank You that You promise to make all things new. You promise that what the enemy meant for evil, you will work for our good. Increase our trust, increase our faith in You. Help our unbelief. Give us eyes to continuously see You, ears to hear what Your Spirit is saying to the church. We give you our broken hearts, pieces that only You can heal. Thank You for being our ultimate healer. You alone are everything that we need. Continue to fight the battle on our behalf. We know You already won Lord, remind us of this during every trial. Remind us that You have a plan and purpose for it all, yes even for the pain. Be glorified in every part of our beings, in our homes, in our marriages, in our loved ones, in everything that we have and do. Glorify Yourself Lord. Have Your way, have Your way always in our life. We choose to suffer for righteousness. We accept everything You give us, yes everything You allow to happen in our lives. Increase our strength in the waiting. You are our deliverer and the light of our salvation. Thank You for paying the ultimate price just to be with us forever. We love You Lord and we will always tell the world that You alone are the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Oh help us Abba Father. In Jesus name, Amen.

Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
