Spencer ๐Ÿพ

I still think about Spencer. Heโ€™s a beautiful dog that was hit by a car and left to die on a highway. Someone found him on the side of the road and while his condition was near death, they rushed him to an animal hospital where a team of incredible doctors worked to nurse him back to health. I seen his story posted online from a foundation I follow. I see stories like this all the time but this time was different. Spencer captured my heart. I remember watching a video of him laying down whimpering in pain after one of his surgeries and my heart broke for him. I begin praying daily for God to heal him completely and to provide for everything he needed. God did just that, Spencer is fully healed now and was adopted by a beautiful family! He is no longer hurting. He is healed, safe, home, secure. Sometimes life is like this. There are times when the path we are on takes sudden turns, and sadly even collisions occur. The impact from the crashes are painful, they shatter our hearts and sometimes leave us stranded. We can get lost along the way and find ourselves in desperate need of direction. The road gets dark and we long to see the light. If you find yourself in this condition, let me remind you as I remind me, that we have a God who never leaves us nor forsakes us. He rescues us. He sends in laborers on His behalf to speak life, hope, and love over us and for us. He heals every wound and carryโ€™s us to safety. He provided a roadmap and compass, clear direction for us to follow when we open His word. We even have a promise of being adopted as sons and daughters of the most high God. He purchased us with His blood and did the work that we could not do nor earn. We can rest in Him. While He does allow collisions, sharp turns, and dark alleys at times… He also provides provisions every step of the way. All of these moments are reminders of our great need of Him. He is with us on this journey, keep going sweet friend.

// prayer //

Lord, Thank You for being our rescue and strength. In every circumstance we face, You are greater still. Every step, every turn, every part of the journey, what’s behind us, right now, and ahead, all of it belongs to You. You are the light when darkness settles in and You alone are the refuge that shields us from every storm. Comfort all who need it right now Lord. And Father, I thank You for healing Spencer. I know every creature that has breathe praises You and was created to show Your glory, so I thank You for him. In Jesus name, Amen.

You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore. -Psalm 16:11

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. -Psalm 147:3

For I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal, declares the Lord… -Jeremiah 30:17

For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, โ€œAbba! Father!โ€ The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirsโ€”heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him. -Romans 8:15-17
