Be Set Free

I’ve been working on this knot for days. I made the mistake of being careless when I traveled a few weeks ago and threw four necklaces together (instead of packing each one separately), the result is a tangled mess. It’s been days and I was able to free one necklace but I’m still working on the others. It’s taking lots of patience on my part to keep working on it, something I’m determined to do because I desperately want to wear them. In life we can find ourselves in entanglements. Oh I know this word is being used today as a joke but I mean this sincerely. It starts off being careless and we begin to allow things or people in our life that God never intended. Before we know it we’re stuck, we’re tangled. We become so closely attached and intertwined that when God begins to pull us away from the mess, it can be rough and uneasy. There are attachments, addictions, strongholds, knots. It may take time, it may take patience to work through the kinks we got ourselves into. But just as I am determined to free each necklace so it can be worn individually for the beauty it is… God desires to do that in our lives personally. He is determined to accomplish His will for our lives because He loves us and died for us. He is determined to free us from bondage, from the chains of sin. So I ask you, are you entangled today? Do you need to be undone? What is a God trying to free you from? I know you may feel like it’s impossible for you to get out of this or that, but nothing is impossible with God. Call out to Him. Let Him begin to work on your heart and watch how all of the knots begin to unravel. Sure it might take time, but when you’re free from bondage you will begin to shine in the true glory for which you were created. Get free my beautiful friend, trust God and never give up. Beauty is in the making.. keep going.

Lord, Thank You that You desire to set me free from bondage, free from everything that separates me from You. You offer me freedom in exchange for my chains, You promised to entangle me out of every mess and to restore me according to Your glory. Please come into my heart and into my life, and do what only You can do. Set me free that I may be free indeed. In Your name I pray, Amen.
