Comfort for Mourning

Dear hurting one, I see the brokenness in your eyes. I see the tears as they continue falling. I see the pain that is overwhelming you at this very moment, and rightfully so. I see the questions that are flooding your mind. I see the ache that is piercing every part of you. Yes, all of this I know too well because I’ve been there too. No words to describe grief. No words. It is the most painful thing we will go through living in this fallen world. While right now everything feels broken, know there is coming a day when even death itself will be no more. When every tear will be wiped away, every right made wrong, and when everything from this world will come to an end, once and for all. God promises through this pain that He will comfort you. It is a promise of God. So I am praying diligently for your comfort and for His strength to remind you once again of the glorious day when we shall see His face. In the midst of this tragic storm, beyond your wounds and scars, beyond the broken pieces of your heart, God’s love remains. Love that can never be separated from us, not even death can separate us from His love. His love is faithful and true. Constant and never ending. Secure and steadfast. Able and willing to meet you right where you are, cover you, clothe you, uplift you, comfort you, secure you, protect you, help you, again and again and again and again. Know that you are loved and lifted in continuous prayer before the throne of a living God. He is with you in this, He did not bring you this far to leave you. Keep going sweet friend.

// prayer //

Father, I place all of me into Your hands once again. Thank You for promising to comfort me and for never leaving my side. Give me strength where I am weak and remind me daily that You are with me in this. Help me to trust in You, even in the dark. Increase my faith, remove the doubts, quiet the unanswered questions. You alone are my only hope, help me once again. In Jesus name, Amen.
